More TV commercials run 15 seconds rather than 30 seconds, a concession, they say, to shorter attention spans. Really? It's not like it saves a lot of money -- the spots cost about the same either way -- and it's not like it shortens the commercial breaks, because it doesn't. So, are people really unable to watch something longer than 15 seconds nowadays? (USA Today)
