Those federal high risk insurance pools so that anyone who's rejected by regular insurance companies for pre-existing conditions can get policies? They thought hundreds of thousands of people would sign up. So far? 8,011 people. Nobody's signing up. That's because it's still too damn expensive and they excluded anyone who had any insurance over the last six months, plus those in existing state pools. What did they expect? (New York Times)
