Meg Whitman's chief campaign strategist blames her loss on union spending and that California's a "very blue state." But, as a California voter who would have been expected to be more sympathetic to Whitman, I can tell you that he's full of it. She lost because she was a bad candidate who ran an awful campaign; she was caught (by KFI's John and Ken, among others) telling different groups of people conflicting positions, and never clarified that. She had to be lying to someone. And we've been through the same kind of duplicity with the present governor. This guy was paid $90,000 A MONTH to advise her, and he couldn't figure this out.
