Wait... The Knee Bone Is Connected To The Ankle Bone, Right?

A doctor, in an article in a medical journal, is explaining how he performed the wrong surgery on a patient. His excuses: it was the end of a long day, he had an emotional encounter with another patient, the operating room was changed at last moment, the original nurse didn't show up, the patient’s incision point was not correctly marked. And he skipped some of the required protocols, like a surgical checklist. So he did carpal tunnel correction instead of a trigger-finger release procedure. It's good that he's fessing up and explaining things, but would you let him operate on you knowing that he's screwed up before? And, the next time you go in for surgery, will you want to make absolutely sure that the surgeon's got everything sorted out? (Fox News)
