They'd Have Better Luck With Judge Judy
-
Here we go: The first Gitmo detainee to be tried in a civilian court gets acquitted on all but one charge despite a lot of evidence tying him to bombings of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The problem: A key witness was blocked from testifying by the judge, and prosecutors didn't introduce some other key statements from the defendant, because of the torture at Gitmo. The one count will send him to jail, but it will be very hard for prosecutors to get a lot of wins in civilian court. (New York Times)
