The Other Perry Simon Is Probably Embarrassed By Me
-
A student at the University of Florida Googled himself and discovered that the police had accused him of murder, distributing his photo and name in connection with a September home invasion. One problem: He wasn't the guy they were looking for. They misspelled the suspect's name (they're one letter apart), and that's how they pulled his driver's license photo and sent it out with the release. Do you ever Google yourself? Of course you do. Have you ever found stuff there that's clearly about someone else with your name? If it's bad, do you think it might lose you a job or cause other trouble for you? And what would you do to clear it up? (WTSP-TV/St. Petersburg-Tampa; Thanks to Marcia Ware for the link)
