Bill Rhoden, last heard from for his New York Times column saying how it was critical for baseball to have a Dodgers-Yankees Series, now weighs in with a column about how the Phillies represent racism because they were the last NL team to integrate. Never mind that it's been over 50 years, that the ownership is different, the players are different (with Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard among the team's leading players), the ballpark is different, and practically everything else is different. Never mind that the people responsible are long gone, mostly dead. Rhoden found a sixty-something African-American in Philly who hates the Phillies because they were mostly all-white in the '50s. It's an interesting topic: how much water has to pass under the bridge before you can move on? Can you ever move on?
