Transocean, the owner of the rig that blew up, killed 11 workers, and caused the Gulf oil spill, gave a cheery report in its proxy statement to shareholders about how 2010 was its best year ever, safetywise, and how they gave their top executives massive bonuses as a result. 11 dead in one accident is the "best year"? They now admit that they might have gotten a little "insensitive" there. No kidding. And if you ever thought executive bonuses were really tied to performance, now you know better. (CNN)
