I Was At A Baseball Game And A Raiders Game Broke Out
-
An L.A. County Supervisor (like a councilman, but countywide) is asking the Dodgers to cut back on beer sales and add more security at Dodger Stadium after that beating incident that put a Giants fan into a coma. But that's just part of it. What the L.A. Times and other media outlets are refusing to go near is the gang atmosphere at the stadium. I've written about this before, and it's been going on for a decade or so. The outfield pavilions and top two decks at the place have been scary for years. Where it used to be a family atmosphere, it's neck tats and gang colors, and the Dodgers have known this and seem to have courted it to bolster attendance. And as a result, despite being, as you may have noticed, a major baseball fan, and a reasonably short drive away, I won't go there. (Los Angeles Times)
