Remember This When They Criticize Fans For 'Not Supporting The Team'
-
What I love about sportswriters is their shock when they find out how much sports tickets cost. After all, they don't pay for credentials, so what would they care? And then they see a bill. In New York, the huge increases the Knicks and Rangers hit longtime fans with, and the cost of football tickets at the Meadowlands, has even the sportswriters noticing. Yes, the teams are catering to corporations and don't care about "regular" fans. That's been the case for years. (New York Times; subscription required)
