Best Networking Experience Ever
-
I've mentioned this before, but I have vivid memories of my father, trying to play the Paterson, NJ political game to get ahead in the school system, attending several of what they called "beefsteaks." You'd go and every man (it was all-male) who was anybody in town would be in a big banquet hall, and they'd bring out trays of slices of sirloin on little slabs of garlic toast, and there would be pitchers of beer, and everyone would schmooze and network. Those days are gone... no, wait, beefsteaks are back. And, best of all, they're no longer connected to political networking. It's all about gorging yourself on beef and beer. Sign me up.
