There's A Three-Legged-Race Joke In Here Someplace, But Let's Not Go There
-
It's coming up on summer camp enrollment season, which makes it particularly interesting that while Florida has a law requiring background checks for camp operators, it also exempts camps from regulation, meaning there's nobody charged with doing the background checks. And that, in turn, is why there are child molestors, drug dealers, and thieves running camps, and the state House Speaker is saying that they have no way to stop felons from running summer camps. No way. One might ask how this could happen. (Palm Beach Post; Thanks to Jeff Katz at WXKS (Talk 1200)/Boston for the link)
