Not A Good Day For 70's Singers
-
Dead: Phoebe Snow, and if all you remember was "Poetry Man," you missed a pretty great voice. She had tragedy and illness throughout her life, like a severely brain-damaged daughter and her own conditions that kept her from getting any consistent head of steam on her career, and she had a stroke in January 2010 that led to her passing. Also dead: Poiy Styrene, singer for X Ray Spex. She had a brief career, but "Oh Bondage Up Yours" is memorable enough to stick with anyone who was part of the punk era. Another icon of the same era.
