Don't Have The Money. Don't Have The Money. Don't Have The Money.

A study by the Pew Center on the States -- hardly a right-wing cabal -- says that states face a $1.26 TRILLION shortfall in pension benefits. They've given away the store for years and now can't afford to pay out what they gave away. Meanwhile, you have people like Al Sharpton insisting that states like New Jersey shouldn't be "balancing state budgets on the backs of working-class people" by cutting back on pensions, because the working classes didn't create the fiscal crisis. (No, but their unions didn't help) So, who do you believe? I would go with the people pointing out that WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY. Does Sharpton want us to pay the union workers by overtaxing everyone? WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY. This is not a hard concept to grasp, but he and a lot of others aren't grasping it.
