It's always interesting when politically correct interests collide. How about environmentalism versus native rights? On Vancouver Island, two aboriginal men say they had the right under the Canadian Constitution to kill and sell bald eagles. What did they do? Well, the provincial Conservation Service discovered an operation in which 48 mutilated eagle carcasses were found as part of a parts-selling trade. What people would do with eagle parts is unclear, but the guys say that they're only doing what aboriginal Canadians always did. So, who wins? (Vancouver Sun)
