All This Knowledge And The Best They Can Come Up With Is Liquid Plumbr
-
What causes main line sewer pipe blockages? Thick gunk on the sides of the pipes. But what is that? They've long called it FOG -- fats, oils, and grease -- but now they know what it really is: soap. Unfortunately, it's not the kind of soap you'd use in the shower. No, it's just a form of fatty acid salts that's soap in the chemical sense. Now, you'd think they could figure out from that some kind of solution to break it up, but they don't have that yet. And they also aren't sure where the calcium that turns the fats into technical-soap comes from, but there's calcium in pee, so that's one source. (USA Today)
