How's The One Who Teaches About Open Government?
-
The Los Angeles Times is not only NOT pulling back on its publication of ratings for teachers, but it's adding more data for more teachers, and the school system and teachers' union are angry and demanding that the ratings and data go back to being a secret. What are they trying to hide? Why do they think they don't need to be held accountable? For people who think teachers should get whatever they ask for, how can you tell good teachers from bad if you can't see objective data about it and they can't be fired without a long, expensive, extremely difficult process? Why do teachers think they deserve more protection than doctor, lawyers, and anyone else get? (Los Angeles Times)
