A new tourist attraction in Victoria, BC is a urinal. But not just any urinal: No, it's a $60,000 open-air public urinal that's a work of art in itself. Unlike in Europe, North Americans aren't used to having urinals just out there on the street or in parks; we want buildings with doors and stuff. This one is a series of green tubes forming a booth surrounding a urinal, no roof. Seems strange, but it helps stop homeless people and drunks from peeing on the sidewalk, and if you need to go, it beats an alleyway. (National Post)
