Big Hearts Don't Always Last As Long
-
Dead: Robert "Tractor" Traylor, basketball player known primarily for being massive. He played for the Michigan Wolverines and then bounced around the NBA, ending up playing for a Puerto Rican team. He died of an apparent heart attack at 34. Most notable achievement, besides being a name in the Ed Martin scandal at Michigan, was that the Milwaukee Bucks traded for him, giving up their number 9 and 19 selections for Dallas' 6th slot. Dallas was willing to trade down because they knew Milwaukee coveted Traylor and the guy THEY wanted would be available at 9. Some other guy, name of Nowitzki. Also dead: Mia Amber Davis, at 36. Who? The big girl in "Road Trip," the one who seduces D. J. Qualls, the one whose leopard-skin panties become a visual punch line. She'd gone in for routine knee surgery and died the day after. She was a plus size model and an advocate for larger women, which made her being in "Road Trip" and the butt (no pun intended) of the joke a little jarring. (WXYZ-TV/Detroit; Us Weekly)
