You have to pay more and more for insurance and health care. Insurers are in a third year of record profits. Part of that is that, because you can't afford the co-pays, you aren't going for a lot of routine doctor care, and you're putting off tests. This means the insurers aren't paying as much. So, they'll reduce prices, yes? No, because they figure that with the health care law looming and with any kind of recovery, they'll have to pay for more, so they'll just keep the rates high. And, assuredly, they'll raise them again and again. (New York Times)
