It's Not All About Public Safety? Shocking
-
California is considering a law that would restrict red-light cameras and make it more expensive for cities to comply with the rules. Cities are upset, and they say that it's a public safety issue. But they're really upset because the cameras aren't really there for safety, they're there for the money. Make it more expensive to comply with the law and the profit margin is cut, and suddenly those cameras aren't so important anymore. It's always about the money. (Orange County Register)
