When Was The Last Time YOU Read A Label?
-
A jury awarded a 13-year-old girl who had a life-threatening, severe reaction to Children's Motrin when she was 3 years old $10 million because the manufacturer didn't warn of the reaction on the label. Here's the thing: The reaction was an extremely, extremely rare side effect, but it was known and was included on prescription versions of the drug. Sure. But let's face it, even if that warning had been on the label, would her parents have read it? Would it have made a difference? What would they have done differently had it been on the label?
