No, It's Not THAT Smell. That Would Be Identifiable

As I head to New York for a few days, here's a story reminding me that the PATH trains, the subways from Manhattan to Newark, Jersey City, and Hoboken, smell weird. Nobody -- not even an expert brought in by the New York Times -- can figure out what that smell is. Mold? Ammonia? Dead rats? Nobody knows, and it's smelled like that forever.
