Years and years ago, when I was living in the Philadelphia area, the city sprouted bumper stickers all over the place -- on light poles, on buildings, on mailboxes -- that read "Who Is JOHN SCOTT?" I never knew who John Scott was; it was a little urban mystery. Now, I know: He's a weird guy who puts those stickers up himself, and he's now 73 and the oldest tagger to be arrested by the LAPD. Seems that he moved to L.A. and has been "slap-tagging" buses and street signs and everything else with his stickers. Why does he do it? That part's not clear.
