Hold On, I Think I Have A Coupon For A $25 Appendectomy

Florida is going to require some urgent-care clinics to post prices for common procedures, and that's something that I always wonder about. Why can't you get a straight answer about how much a medical procedure is likely to cost? I'm not talking about complicated surgeries with long courses of treatment, but if it's a standard thing that usually goes a particular why, why SHOULDN'T there be a menu of prices? Dental insurance companies can tell you what it'll cost to get fillings and crowns before you make an appointment, but doctors can't?
