Can't Parents Say No?

The American Academy of Pediatrics has a tendency to want the government to control all of our lives "in the name of the children," so it's not a surprise that they issued a policy statement blaming TV fast food ads for childhood obesity. Yes, it's Ronald McDonald's fault. Not the parents who buy them the food. Not the fact that the stuff tastes good. No, it's advertising. Anything to get parents off the hook for, you know, having to be parents. (Orange County Register)
