A study indicates that the heavily prescribed and advertised cholesterol drugs Vytorin and Zetia don't work that well. Niacin works better, and while the numbers are too small to draw conclusions, more people in the study taking the drugs had heart attacks and other health problems. Merck is criticizing the study as flawed and with a too-small sample, and you'd expect them to object, considering how much money they make off this stuff and how much they spent to develop it.
