There's a special program for Canadians who have to cross the U.S. border regularly, like for work, that lets them go through a "fast lane" at Customs with limited screening. And they've found that, sure enough, the "low-risk" participants are taking advantage of the light screening to smuggle beer, jewelry, and other contraband into Canada. Given the opportunity, it seems, people will take advantage. So, if you were termed "low-risk" and got to, say, go through a fast lane at airport security, would you be tempted to carry stuff through that you're not supposed to carry? (Toronto Star)
