Strange. I Stay Away From Movies If Adam Sandler's In Them
-
More than any other studio, Sony Pictures is banking on stars to get you to see its movies. They thought you'd rush to the theater to see "Zookeeper" because of Kevin James, and they figure Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis will be enough for you to head to "Friends With Benefits." Adam Sandler in "Jack and Jill"? Same thing. That's the business plan. But is the presence of a familiar brand... er, actor enough to get you to the theater anymore? I mean, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts couldn't get people to see "Larry Crowne." (New York Times)
