The Nevada DMV twice denied a guy a license plate reading "GOPALIN" because it's political. They DID allow “GOGREEN,†“DMOCRAT,†“AL GORE,†“KERRY,†“EDWARDS,†“DEAN,†“HILLARY†and “RONPAUL,†but rejected "REPBLCN" and "BUSH." Eventually, they relented and issued the plate, but now he's suing. If it's not obscene, what's the difference if it's political either way? And why bother with a personalized plate if you can slap a bumper sticker on your car and accomplish the same thing?
