On The Other Hand, Nobody Says You Have To Go To Concerts And Ball Games
-
Live Nation and Ticketmaster want you to think... er, know that they're fighting for YOU, the consumer, when they move to paperless tickets, where you get a code, then have to come down with ID to the venue on event night to gain admission. That cuts out StubHub and the scalpers. Good, right? Well, what if you want to sell your ticket, or can't go and want to give your tickets to a friend? Can't do that. And if an event is sold out and you REALLY want to go, you won't have StubHub as an option. So... how is that good for the consumer? It isn't. It's good for Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
