Big surprise: Those calorie counts on restaurant menus may be inaccurate. VERY inaccurate. Only 7% of food tested landed within 10 calories of the listed figure, and 20% were at least 100 calories more than advertised. It's worse at sit-down restaurants. Now, in fairness, it's variable because food that's hand-prepared can include wildly different portion sizes. The study's conclusion: You're better off eating at home. What fun is that?
