Didn't Work Out Well In The End For Omar, Either
-
Meet Jermaine "Slap" Slappy, who, with a partner, embarked on a plan to rob drug dealers, much like Omar on "The Wire." This did not end well when they invaded a dealer's apartment and robbed him, then paused in the hallway to check how much they'd gotten. This gave the dealer a moment to grab his gun and shoot them. The partner died, and Slap got shot and fled, but was eventually caught. He pleaded out to a two year sentence, but the only reason he's getting off that light is that the dealer, for obvious reasons, refused to testify (and he's already serving 10 years for dealing).
