This guy was tried and convicted for beating and robbing a cross-country skier, but his attempted felony murder conviction has been overturned by the appeals court. Why? Because there's no such thing as attempted felony murder in the state of Washington. There's just attempted murder. Why did the prosecutors file charges for a crime that technically doesn't exist?
