Meanwhile, KFC Gets Away With It On A Grand Scale
-
A defendant is awaiting a hearing in court to determine if she'll get the death penalty for murder. That wouldn't in itself be a big story, except that the murder victims were a neighbor's chickens, and the defendant is a dog. Yes, there's a court hearing over a killer dog. But here's why: the town warned the dog's owner that he had to fortify his invisible fence because the dog was getting out and attacking the neighbor's chickens, and he refused because he didn't want to keep the dog confined. So the dog got out again. The authorities could, I suppose, take the dog to a shelter rather than kill it, but that's the issue in front of the court.
