And It's One More Hit Than Most Of YOU Have Had
-
How much can you make as a one-hit wonder? A lot, apparently. It's been 20 years since Jesus Jones hit number 2 on the U.S. charts with "Right Here, Right Now," and Mike Edwards, the band's leader and writer of the song, has been able to make a pretty decent living off licensing, royalties, and even, once, reforming the band to play the song six times over 10 days for a corporate gig in Florida. He owns a personal fitness business in England now, but that song's like an annuity. It didn't make him rich, but it made him pretty comfortable. Can't really argue with that. (Sydney Morning Herald)
