You Want To Use Your Own Money? Oh, You'll Pay For That
-
When the new banking rules were announced and "swipe fees" for credit and debit card use were limited, did anyone expect that the banks would NOT look for another way to make up the money they'd be losing under the new more restrictive rules? Here it comes: Wells Fargo is testing debit card fees, and you, the consumer, would be paying them with every swipe of the card. They'll also make it a little harder to avoid the fees, like with high balances or maintaining another account with the same bank. No matter what the law says about protecting consumers, somehow, it's the consumers who end up paying. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
