Trying To Have A Future When They Tell You Don't Have One
-
Tennessee women's basketball coaching legend Pat Summitt has disclosed that she's been diagnosed with early-onset dementia -- a form of Alzheimer's -- but will try to coach anyway. Exactly how someone can handle news like that is unclear -- it could be one of the worst diagnoses you can get -- but all you can do is hope it doesn't get bad for a long time. Still, you're watching the train bear down on you, and there's no hope of avoiding it. Damn. And, of course, there's the issue of whether she should try to coach, but if it was you, you'd want to try to get back to as normal as you can. (WBIR-TV/Knoxville)
