Is A Life Only Worth Less Than 4 Years In Jail?
-
A woman has pleaded no contest to driving under the influence into a yard and killing another woman. The driver, 21 years old, was driving home on oxycodone, Xanax and pot at 11:30 am -- the morning! -- when she left the road, drove 40 feet on the grass, and hit the victim, then continued another 116 feet before getting back into the road. She drove home, then her father took her back to the scene of the crime to admit it. Her lawyers are asking for a 41 month sentence. Is that enough for what she did? (Kansas City Star)
