Hands At 10 And 2. Eyes On Road. Go!

Alberta's distracted driving law takes effect on September 1st. It covers the usual: texting, cell phone use without hands-free, that sort of stuff. But it also includes a ban on personal grooming, reading, and writing behind the wheel. You'd think that it would be common sense for people not to put on makeup or shave or read the paper behind the wheel, but I've seen that myself many times, all over the continent. How they'll be able to enforce it, I don't know, but it's unusual to see a law that sweeping about driving behavior (and some wanted it to be stronger; how about eating?) (Edmonton Journal)
