AOL's spinoff from Time Warner comes with a price: 2,300 layoffs, about a third of the staff. That's a huge cut. Hard to tell what all those people were doing at AOL, considering how much smaller that operation is (it's now more about websites like TMZ and Engadget than being an ISP), but they're going to be unemployed now.
