We're Reasonably Assured It Might Not Happen Again
-
This story's been going on for a while, and it's complicated, but the bottom line is that a judge ruled that a teen boy can keep living with his father and his father's partner, a woman who killed her own daughters in 1991. The boy's mom wants custody, the father says the killer's recovered from mental illness, and the judge says that for now, while the issues are sorted out, the kid can stay put because nobody is showing that the killer is a danger anymore. I would think that, you know, KILLING HER OWN DAUGHTERS would indicate a danger, but I guess not. (AP via Seattle Times)
