Dead: Leonard Harris, at 81, and you may not remember him, but he was the arts critic for WCBS-TV in New York for several years, and then became an actor in the movie "Taxi Driver" -- he was the Senator. And the topic here is when critics try to do the thing they cast judgement upon. Remember how when Roger Ebert tried to write a screenplay, it ended up "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls." Harris was good in "Taxi Driver," but how many critics could do what the people they rip do? (New York Times)
