Dead: Lee Roy Selmon, who, if you only knew the name as that of a Hall of Fame defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you didn't really know about him. He was one of those people who you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone to say anything bad about. He was such a civic leader in Tampa that they named the toll expressway after him. He was in large part responsible for the University of South Florida's ascent into big-time athletics. And, oh, yeah, Pro Bowl, two national collegiate championships, the Lombardi and Outland trophies, popular chain of restaurants in the region... kinda did it all. (Tampa Tribune)
