I'll Have One Last Old Style At Wrigley Next Week...
-
The contract's up at the end of the season and the new guy in charge of the brand thinks that they can spend the money better, and that may mean the end of Old Style beer at Wrigley Field. Old Style's been the main beer at Wrigley since before most of us were born, like 60 years ago. We're talking two brands totally identified with each other. And that could end because Pabst, which owns the label and is now operated out of L.A., thinks they can use the cash to pump up Old Style Light's marketing. Is that a good reason to end a relationship practically every baseball fan knows? (And is the fact that they already know it a reason to pull the plug?) (AP via WLS-TV/Chicago)
