Some Bits Are Funnier Than Others
-
A New Zealand court has ruled that a "well-known comedian" should walk free -- and unidentified -- after pleading guilty to an indecent act with his 4-year-old daughter. He was allegedly drunk, came home, laid his daughter down, pulled down her diaper, and, um, kissed her. His partner woke up and asked what he was doing, and he said, "I thought it was you." And for that, the judge let him off without so much as a warning, saying, "He's a talented New Zealander. He makes people laugh. Laughter is an incredible medicine and we all need lots of it." So if you're funny, you can get away with that? Seriously? (New Zealand Herald)
