Discrimination Is Wrong.. Except For Fat People
-
The CEO of the Cleveland Clinic is defending himself over his comments to the New York Times that he would not hire obese people if he could. He says that he was trying to say that "bold action" must be taken, but is it an employer's job -- even a medical establishment's -- to battle what some perceive as a health problem? And is one's size connected to job performance if there are no physical demands? (Don't give me the "fat people miss more days" thing; I've never seen any difference, and I've known skinny people to take a lot of sick days, too)
