You'll Always Have Amsterdam
-
"Coffee shops" in Maastricht in the Netherlands have banned foreign tourists, and "coffee shops" is in quotes because by "coffee" we really mean "cannabis." The shops have voluntarily instituted the ban because the city told them something had to be done about the visitors because they crowded the streets and attracted crime. Only those with Dutch, Belgian, or Gernam passports will be allowed in. By June 2013, they'll move some of the shops outside the city core and let tourists go there, in case you're planning a trip.
