Is Farting Still A Capital Offense There?

Swearing is now legal in Park Ridge, IL. It wasn't before, because there was a law making it illegal to use profanity "in any street, alley or public place" in town. The police chief says that law wasn't really constitutional, and the council deleted the law while cleaning up its books. It also got rid of a rule outlawing use of "abusive or obscene language" and gestures, and they're considering getting rid of a cross-dressing ban as well. Park Ridge, IL is becoming just a little more free. (Chicago Sun-Times)
