If They Didn't Enforce Stupid Regulations, They'd Have No Reason To Exist
-
This is why people can't stand local government: a guide decided to build a treehouse on his property for his kids. He asked someone in the building department whether he needed a permit, and they laughed and said no. So he built it. Someone complained. He had to spend thousands of dollars to get a zoning variance. For a treehouse. And it was denied. If his appeal is rejected, he'll have to tear it down. Why? There's a picture of the treehouse with the article, and it's hard to understand who would object, or why they'd make him take it down.
